Bio.


Samantha Palmeri (b. 1973, Staten Island, New York) received her BFA from The School of Visual Arts. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and museums in New York and New Jersey including the Noyes Museum of Art, and the Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art. She is the recipient of several awards and grants, notably an Individual Artist Fellowship from the Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation, and an Original Work Grant from the Council on the Arts and Humanities for Staten Island. Over the years Ms. Palmeri has curated solo and group exhibitions for different organizations and galleries. She was the owner and director of two contemporary art galleries, and the founder of an artist group called The Intersection. Currently Ms. Palmeri lives and works in Beacon, New York, and is the Director of Beacon Open Studios, a sponsored project of Beacon Arts, a non profit community organization.
